<h3> Statement </h3>
<p>
$2.1.30^*.$ A body of mass $m_1$ lies on a board of mass $m_2$ located on a smooth horizontal plane. Coefficient of friction between the body and the board $\mu$.
a. What force should be applied to the board so that the body slides off it? How long will it take for a body to slide if a force
b. With what acceleration do the body and board move if the force
</p>
<h3>Solution</h3>
<p>
<p>
Condition for starting movement:
To determine the sliding time, we use kinematic equations:
The acceleration a when a constant force
Sliding time:
Where
Meanwhile, of the external forces, only the friction force with the block acts on the board
Then Newton's second law for the board
<h4>Answer</h4>
<p>
$$\text{a. } F>\mu (m_{2}+m_{1})g\text{, }t=\sqrt{\frac{2lm_{2}}{F_{0}-\mu (m_{2}+m_{1})g}}$$
$$\text{b. } a_{1}=\frac{F_{0}-\mu m_{1}g}{m_{1}}\text{, }a_{2}=\mu g\frac{m_{1}}{m_{2}}.$$
